Road 648 between Glava and Sulvik will be closed for approximately three weeks from 22 June.
The closure is due to roadworks near Gördsbyn, where two road culverts will be replaced. While the work is in progress, traffic will be redirected via alternative routes.
Traffic will be redirected via road 175, as well as road 17, national road 61 and road 172.
We recommend that our visitors plan their journey in good time and follow the road signs on site.
Between June 27 and August 16, the popular bus 130 once again operates the route Karlstad-Glaskogen-Arvika round trip. The bus stops in Lenungshammar, the heart of Glaskogen, and here you will find our Infocentre, canoe centre, campsite, shop and café. Lenungshammar is also a very good starting point for shorter and longer hikes and paddle trips.
Bus 130 will run Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with two trips in each direction per day.
The bus runs the route Karlstad – Grums – Värmskog’s church – Glaskogen – Jössefors – Arvika.
The bus is part of Värmlandstrafik’s summer timetable. You travel with Värmlandstrafik’s regular tickets and you do not need to pre-book your seat.
When you arrive at our Infocenter in Lenunghammar and show your bus ticket, you get a free 24-hour ticket to Glaskogen and a cup of coffee at Café Carl. Welcome to Glaskogen!
It is possible to bring bicycles on the bus (maximum five bicycles). However, we do not guarantee a place for your bike in case more cyclists have already boarded before you.
You can find the bus timetable and more information here: https://www.varmlandstrafik.se/varmlandstrafik/res-med-oss/fler-resesatt/sommarlinje-till-glaskogen/summer-route-to-glaskogen
