Café Carl offers good local food in a cozy timbered cabin in the heart of Glaskogen.

Delicious home-baked Swedish fika and hot dishes with inspiration and flavors from the forest are served here. Here you can choose between various tasty dishes with, among other things, moose and deer and various plants such as spruce shoots and yarrow and much more.

Our menu varies throughout the year depending on the availability of game and growing season.

We always offer dishes that suit you who are vegan or gluten and lactose intolerant.

Campfire food

An experience where you cook your own food over an open fire.
Available to book 2 March – 14 June and 7 September – 31 October.

Uou can pick up a basket with recipes, equipment and ingredients needed. A simple, perfect and lovely experience together in nature.

This offer applies to groups of at least 10 people. The price varies depending of your choice of food. Contact us for more information atn to book.

Things to do near Café Carl

There are several hiking trails around Café Carl. There is also a nice path of 6 km through forest and along the lake Stora Gla which is walkable and also suitable for prams.

If you want to combine your dining experience with a paddle trip, Glaskogen’s Canoe Center is just around the corner.

And so does Glaskogen’s Infocenter and campsite, where you can find all information about Glaskogen and outdoor life. Here you can buy, among other things, your Glaskog card and fishing license, and here there is also a small shop with food and outdoor items. Here you can also stay at our fine wilderness camping.

For those of you who would like to take home a small souvenir from Glaskogen, we sell locally produced handicrafts and other products.
